Choices include community outings, musical programs, games, cards, gardening, painting, sewing, and much more.

The community, just beyond the corner of Constitution Drive and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, boasts quick and easy access to the main shopping and dining center of Cove. In addition, Highway 190 allows simple accessibility to Killeen, Harker Heights, and Nolanville

Robert “Bob” Lavoie was born and raised in Somersworth, New Hampshire. In 1972, Bob enlisted in the Army as a medic. While in the military, he earned his LVN license and went on to serve for over 20 years. In 1994, Bob retired from the Army and focused his career on the medical field. In 1999, Bob and his wife Bev moved to Austin, Texas where he accepted a position as executive director of an assisted living community, and he has been in that role in various communities ever since.We were pleased to welcome Bob to the Stoney Brook family in September 2013 as Executive Director of Stoney Brook of Copperas Cove.
Assisted Living Director Culinda Burney, LVN was born and raised in Alexandria Louisiana. She moved to Texas three years ago due to her husband being active duty Military. Culinda worked as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant for 15 years before attending Centura College in Richmond Virginia. She is currently enrolled at Excelsior College earning her RN and Ashford University earning her BSN in Healthcare Administration. Culinda is also wound care certified. Culinda has been married for 8 years, has three children ages 21, 19 and 18, and enjoys reading in her personal time.
Cheryl Benoit joined the Stoney Brook of Copperas Cove family as Activities Director in September 2013. Cheryl comes to Stoney Brook with over 25 years experience working in healthcare. In 1995, Cheryl obtained her Activities Professionals Certificate from McClennan Community College in Waco. A Copperas Cove High School graduate, she has lived in this community since 1978. When Cheryl is not dreaming up the next activity for residents of Stoney Brook, she enjoys gardening, sports, and spending time with her three daughters.
Kelly joined Stoney Brook, as the Community Marketing Director in October of 2015. Kelly comes to us from Southwestern, Pennsylvania. She has worked in the Healthcare Industry for over 24 years. Some of her roles included Quality Project Manager, Account Executive, Community Relations Specialist, Senior Services Case Manager, Hospice Account Executive and Certified Pharmacy Technician. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Waynesburg University in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. Kelly has also worked for the Department 0f Homeland Security (FEMA) as the Voluntary Agency Liaison and began her career with them during Hurricane Katrina and has served on many natural disasters. She enjoys spending all her time with her beautiful daughter Lia. She currently resides in Killeen, Texas.She is very excited to be working for Stoney Brook Assisted Living and Memory Care and getting to know the people in the community.
